DAIR hosted the inaugural Design Thinking Workshop bringing together a microcosm of the aerospace ecosystem where we rolled up our sleeves, discussed, created and explored solutions to advance collaboration and innovation between academia and industry.
About this event
This workshop was an exclusive event with DAIR Members and partners in our Innovation Network (Academics, Industry and Associations). The aim of the full-day workshop was to engage in discussions and work towards solution roadmaps that can benefit the innovation ecosystem as a whole and individual organizations.
The workshop was a prime example of how partnerships and innovative thinking are shaping the collaborative future of aerospace. Thank you to the 40 participants from academia (colleges and universities), industry (OEMs and SMEs), and aerospace and sector adjacent organizations that joined the lively interactions and possible solutions.
DAIR was honoured to host this event at Bombardier’s 750,000 sq ft purpose-built assembly facility at Pearson Airport. Matthew Aiken (Murisphere Solutions Inc. and DAIR consultant) facilitated the workshop, leading the participants through a series of activities for this Design Thinking Workshop.
